Acadia ALERT - Acadia Athletic Complex Closing Early - Weather

Due to the forecasted weather, the Acadia Athletic Complex will be closing at 11am on 29 December 2025. All patrons will be required to exit the complex at that time. Conditions will be assessed throughout the day with the possibility of opening later in the afternoon or evening. A follow up message will be sent in the event the complex can reopen if weather conditions improve.

About me:

Aaron has been a professional archaeologist in Nova Scotia for over 10 years and can hold Category A, B and C permits. He has conducted archaeological research on both historical and pre-contact sites throughout the Maritimes and Cuba. Aaron has a passion for archaeology and teaching and has organized and taught field schools in Nova Scotia and Cuba.

  • M.A. Historical Archaeology, Atlantic Canada Studies, Saint Mary’s University
  • IDPhD, Pre-contact Archaeology, Dalhousie University

Scholarly Interests:

  • peopling of the Maritimes,
  • drowned landscapes,
  • sea-level rise,
  • settlement patterns,
  • landscape archaeology.
